The pharmaceutical world is a very noisy place. TV channels air lots of “innocent! infomercials” depicting happy people, enjoying their lives in gorgeous locations. The people are all happy, therefore this must be a good product... right?
Well, when we see a commercial like that one, how many of us step back and think of the core value that the drug company stands for? Did they try to convince us to use their product or do they have a deeper and true desire to care and help people?
Not every company is the same of course, but please take a moment and read this CNN exclusive.
We must be the change we want to see, as the great Mahatma Gandhi once quoted. But, do we all have the time, the courage, the energy to change the status quo,? Even if it sounds impossible or crazy?
Before anything, we need to remember the core values we stand for: Do we or do we not believe we should improve lives without harming them? If we do, is it not the time to educate masses that opioids are not the right or the only choice for pain? There are other alternatives that are effective, safe and even reversible.
So, what are we waiting for?
